Having Difficult Conversations

The program looks at having difficult conversations with co-workers, line managers and senior managers which is often a daunting prospect and many choose to avoid the conversation, which has particular ramifications and costs for the institution. This course aims to provide participants with the skills and confidence to discuss difficult issues with honesty, clarity and integrity.

Learning Outcome

• Participants will learn to be more empathetic and carefully understand the counterparty’s views
• Participants will become emotionally capable to deal with difficult people or situations
• Participants will understand the importance of being in the right frame of mind prior to dealing with difficult situations
• Participants will be able to anticipate conflicts early on and be able to provide alternatives and solutions to counteract them.

Target Audience

The program is designed for individuals working in corporations where they may be finding it challenging to deal with difficult people or coping with difficult situations. This may include employees ranging from junior level staff to new joiners.
